Our services
Unik Care Community Services offers a comprehensive range of children and youth care programs designed to enhance quality of life. Our trauma-informed, individualized, and holistic approach meets each client’s unique needs while promoting acceptance of differences in appearance, behavior, and culture. Guided by cultural humility, self-awareness, and culturally inspired education, we provide all-inclusive, culturally competent care.
Our programs include 24-hour staffed living accommodations for individuals who are medically fragile, require nursing monitoring, or have complex/high-risk needs. We support those who may engage in harmful behaviors, require intensive services, or have histories of mental health challenges or opioid use disorder, ensuring safe, supportive, and tailored care at all times.
Emergency Respite Care
Our Emergency/Short-Term Support Program provides immediate, safe, and structured care for children and youth in urgent need. Designed for short-term placements, this program ensures stability, supervision, and trauma-informed support while addressing complex or high-risk needs.
Transitional Years Programs
Our Transitional Years Programs are designed to support children and youth as they move through key developmental stages and prepare for greater independence. We recognize that transitions—whether emotional, educational, social, or environmental—can be overwhelming, especially for young people who have experienced trauma or instability.

Unik Care Community Services is an Alberta-based agency dedicated to providing compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive support to children, youth, adults, and families. Founded by a Healthcare aide with a deep passion for human service and community wellbeing, Unik Care was created in response to the growing need for safe, supportive, and person-centered care solutions across Northern Alberta.
We specialize in delivering high-quality group home services, emergency placements, transitional support, and community-based programs. Our approach is grounded in creating stable, nurturing, and therapeutic environments where every individual feels valued, respected, and supported in their healing journey.
At Unik Care, we work collaboratively with various stakeholders, caregivers, and families to ensure care that reflects cultural identity, strengthens resilience, and promotes long-term success.
